This simple, though touching book follows Bruno, an eight year old German boy, through his short-lived experiences during World War II. His father, a commander in the Nazi army, moves the family to a three story house in Poland where the concentration camps are held. Bruno an honest young boy has no clue to what is going on, across his window view in his room he see’s thousands of people in the same colored clothing, he studies them everyday. Bruno decides to go an adventure on the other side of his house; he discovers a huge fence that goes miles and miles far. As he walks down the fence, a young boy is seen on the other side of the fence. (A holocaust prisoner) Now the rest is for you to read. I recommend this book to anybody that wants to be inside of an 8 year old mind. This book is very touching and an amazing ending. I highly recommend it to everyone.

One of the most rewarding books I read and recommend is Caged Eagles by Eric Walters. This book takes place during World War 2 during 1942 and is about a Japanese family in Canada. The main characters are Tadashi, Yuri, and Sam. After Pearl Harbor happened the security was one of the key roles that played into these Japanese Canadians being into concentration camps. The story is mostly about a family being forced to leave their village and live in captivity. It’s a struggle for all Japanese that are forced to go their because they have to live in pig stalls and eat food that is not what they usually eat. Tadashi makes friend called Sam whose father is a wealthy business man. So Sam gets to buy anything he wants and finds a way to sneak out of the camp. They leave their prison and go explore only to be roughed up by white kids and forced to fight. They win and after the white kids come with back up that’s when they get corned by the prison camp and get beat up. Fortunately for them some of the Japanese people jump over and rescue them. It is a highly good book and makes you feel how the things work in a concentration camp. It has unity, family, friendship, and adventure. Overall I recommend this book for anyone that likes reading a fun and adventurous book.
-Carlos Vicuna The book Fallen Angels is about a seventeen year old kid name Richie Perry who just graduated from high school. He decides to sign up for the army because he can't afford to go to college. When he gets shipped off to vietnam he meets four guys who are part of his squade and they become friends. They all have different stories of why they are there. They all fight together and protect each other so they could survive and go back to the normal world. At the end only Richie Perry and peewee get to go home. I think that this book is a very goal book because the way its written it makes you feel like you are in the book and it helps you understand what the! soilders in vietnam go through.
